Headache Treatments

We have recently been seeing many more people coming to HFS for treatment of headaches.  It is well known that headaches can be caused by stiffness in and around the top three vertebrae of the neck and that gentle manipulation can help to ease these problems, often completely.  These are called cervicogenic headaches.

Interestingly though we are seeing lots of people who come to the clinic complaining of different types of headache such as migraines who also have the same responses to neck manipulation as those without the other signs and symptoms of migraine. 

It appears that there may be considerable overlap in the existing medical diagnoses for different types of headache and that problems in the upper part of neck appears to be a common link between them. 

This is great news for many headache sufferers as we are finding that we are helping many more patients with what were previously thought to be problems coming from within the head that had relied on long term medication.
