Treatment following trauma will start in a hospital and is often focused around getting you mobile.
Once you reach an outpatients stage then we need to work at ensuring the stability and control around the pelvis is regained. The pelvis often needs to be held still so that the joints of the hip and spine have a solid base to move off so unlike any other area of the body movement is not the driving factor.
Treatment during pregnancy is dealt with caution. Skilled clinicians will aim to re-balance the alignment of the pelvis then commonly advise exercises and supports to prevent re-occurrence.
