Prevention

Maintaining good muscle control around the joints is the best method to prevent injuries in the thigh. Gradually increasing the load or duration of exercise is important too.

A warm up should be carried out for at least five minutes prior to exercise so the muscles get up to their ideal working temperature. A similar five minute cool down period is required after exercise to keep the blood flowing to help the body cool efficiently and help muscle mobility.
