Ensuring your desk is well set up and you are sleeping in a good position is probably the simplest way to prevent back pain so come in and ask how this should be done and why.
Take regular breaks from writing and typing and ensure any sport, musical activity or other past time which involves your hands does not lead to pain or pins and needles. If it does then look to change your technique. If you are unable to do this then come and see one of our Physio’s so they can help, or these problems do not get better. They always get worse and the longer you prolong it the harder they are to fix. In some cases this will mean prolonged periods of rest from the activity.
